Local race club and peak body relationship goes to the dogs

The Muswellbrook Greyhound Racing Club has hit out at the industry’s peak body following the successful opening of the upgraded track.

Greyhound Racing New South Wales reports 600 spectators went through the front gates yesterday 18 months after the former track was closed due to safety concerns.

It subsequently spent three-million dollars on sprucing up the Sydney Street gambling facility.

But Club President Joanne Russell says they had no role in the grand reopening  after being locked out of the site since August last year.
