Local Government Minister Ron Hoenig has just under one month to decide if he’ll take any action against Upper Hunter Shire Council.
A petition by Moonan resident Patricia Taylor, was signed by 1201 ratepayers citing concern over the council’s financial performance and governance.
It called on the Minister to consider sacking the council and appointing an administrator to run the organisation.

The Parliament has set December 26 as the date Mr Hoenig has till to formally respond to the call.
