Singleton Mayor Sue Moore said the community should not be pushed into an outcome they don’t want when it comes to the proposed high-voltage Hunter Transmission Line.
The Mayor and and local resident John Sullivan nominated to sit on a new EnergyCo Regional Reference Group.
Councillor Moore said they met for the first time yesterday.

“There’s a lot of work to be done between now and then but they seem to have a very tight frame to get things done,” she said.
“I just hope that includes ample consultation, ample true consultation with those affected.”
