The man responsible for the Greta Bus Crash Tragedy has been sentenced to 32 years jail after apologising to the victims and their families for his actions.
Judge Roy Ellis told 59-year-old Brett Andrew Button…in his 50 years in the justice system he had “never dealt with a case that contained anywhere near the devastation”.
The outcome follows 15 months of hell for them after the bus Button was driving crashed on the Wine Country Drive roundabout killing ten passengers and injured 25 others.
Justice Ellis told the 59-year-old the victim impact statements had graphically painted a picture of devastation.
Outside the court Nadine and Kyah McBride’s sister and Auntie, Leoni Bowey told the media…she can’t quite believe it.
Button was given a non-parole period of 24 years.
