Local public schools HSC rankings improve

Our local public high schools have all recorded improvements in performance at the 2024 Higher School Certificate.

Scone High rocketed up to 424 from 650th in the state last year.

Muswellbrook High rose from 503 a year ago to 493.

Singleton High jumped 21 places to 565th.

Not so good for the Upper Hunter’s two Catholic High Schools. They’ve suffered significant falls.

St Catherine’s at Singleton dropped from 408 last year to 523.

St Joseph’s at Aberdeen fell to 341 this year from 285.

Despite this, Joeys is still the best performing HSC school in the Upper Hunter.
