A public hearing has been set for the New Year on a proposed solar farm just two-and-a-half kilometres from Muswellbrook.
The proposed ESCO Solar Farm and Battery Storage Facility would be located off Muscle Creek Road.
The NSW Independent Planning Commission will visit Muswellbrook to hear from the community on February 12.

The planning department has received more than 50 written objections to the proposal.
