No timeframe for power to be fully retsored

Ausgrid can’t yet say when they expect power to be fully restored across the Upper Hunter.

Hundreds of properties remain with electricity following the wild storm activity and strong gusty winds over the past 18 hours.

No power is still reported in parts of Singleton, Singleton Heights, Broke, Denman, Aberdeen, Sedgengoe, Gundy, and Merriwa.

Spokesperson Junayd Hollis said their crews are stretched responding to 140,000 outages across the state.

“The more complicated jobs will go into tomorrow,” he said.

“People are best to keep a close eye on the AUSGRID website for updates on when power will be restored.”
