It’s been revealed a child was injured at Merriwa during the recent storm activity.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the town yesterday afternoon to transfer the child from the town’s hospital down to Newcastle for further treatment.
A spokesperson said the patient was suffering injuries from a falling tree.
