A man has been arrested following an alleged stabbing on a train near Singleton.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon with the train forced to stop at the former Ravensworth Railway Station as it travelled north so police could intervene.
A 37-year-old woman was rushed to the John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.

Police say they were forced to use a Taser and OC spray to arrest a 35-year-old man.
He’s facing ten charges including wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
