The search for the missing 66-year-old in Muswellbrook has come to a sad conclusion, with a man’s body found near the hospital late Friday afternoon.
The man was reported missing from Muswellbrook Hospital on Tuesday evening, with a police search launched.
Police found a body in the hospital grounds around 3pm on Friday.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the 66-year-old man.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
