A boost for local health services in the Upper Hunter to report this morning.
100 nurses from the UK and Ireland have been employed to come and within the Hunter New England Local Health District.
It follows a chronic shortage at many hospitals including Muswellbrook for the past several years.

Minister for the Hunter Yasmin Catley said the new recruits will be allocated based on need.
