A breakthrough for the family of murdered former Muswellbrook schoolgirl Brigette ‘Biddy’ Porter.
The State Government has tabled proposed new laws around the granting of day release to patients under the care of the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
Under the reforms, judicial officers will be given oversight for leave.

The move follows a public campaign by Biddy’s parents to hold a parliamentary inquiry into the Tribunal.
