A decision is expected before Christmas from the NSW Coroner on whether she’ll order a formal inquiry into the brutal killing of former Muswellbrook schoolgirl Brigette (Biddy) Porter.
A petition containing more than 20,000 signatures backed calls from ‘Biddy’s parents and their now local MP Phil Donato for Attorney-General Michael Daley to instruct this to occur.
The 10-year-old was murdered in the state’s central west four years ago.

Mr Daley said he has advised Mr Donato and the Porter family that would be premature at this stage.
