Upper Hunter Shire Council will be asked to urgently find funding to improve the quality of water supplied to two local towns.
Merriwa and Cassalis have been forced to live with sub-standard water from bores which leaves an orange tinge on appliances, pots, pans and bathroom surfaces.
Councillor Troy Stolz said it’s not up to scratch and these residents deserve better.

He will move a motion at the next monthly council meeting calling for immediate action to fund an upgrade of the current bore water supplies.
