Muswellbrook Mayor Steve Reynolds said councillors will support the vision of Greyhound Racing New South Wales to establish a large scale birding kennel in the Shire but just not in the Martindale.
A draft formal response to the Regional Planning Panel has been distributed to councillors for sign off after meeting to discuss the issue yesterday morning.
An assessment by council staff recommends the DA is approved.

Councillor Reynolds said they’ve weighed up the concerns put forward by residents who would be impacted by the 400 kennel establishment.
