Upper Hunter Shire Council says leasing out the Hunter Warbirds Museum will save ratepayers around $2-million.
The Council last night voted during a closed session of the meeting 6-2 in favour of entering a five-year agreement with Pay’s Air Services for the big black shed at Scone Airport.
Councillors Adam Williamson and Troy Stolz were the two councillors who objected to the decision.

The joint bid also includes Paul Bennett Airshows taking over responsibility for staging of the ‘Warbirds Over Scone’ event.
The move follows massive financial losses for ratepayers on the museum and event since their inception.
