Massive deer cull completed in Murrurundi

Hunter Local Land Services said the risk to drivers on the New England Highway has now been reduced following the completion of a large animal cull.

The operation has taken place over the last month around Murrurundi with around 3200 dear wiped out from on-ground and aerial shooting.

LLS General Manager Brett Miners said it’s the first cull in the area for five years.
