The Upper Hunter Shire Mayor has vowed to find out more information about a proposal to trim established trees and remove parking along one side of Merriwa’s main street.
Local businesses and residents are up in arms over the plan by ACEN Renewables to facilitate the transport of infrastructure needed for a solar and battery project near Dunnedoo.
Maurice Collison said he wasn’t aware of the proposal until it appeared on social media and needs to verify what is right and wrong.
