A company has been chosen to rebuild the collapsed section of the road between Merriwa and Willow Tree.
The decision following a competitive tender process made by Upper Hunter Shire Councillors in a closed meeting this week.
It comes eight months after the Albanese Government confirmed it would honour a coalition funding commitment made before the last election.

A formal announcement on who the company is is expected to made in the coming weeks.
