But Councillor Troy Stolz said fellow Councillor and solicitor George Fraser was in the court and tried to raise the alarm as well.

“He actually notified Council of the oversight and the issue yet still no from Council crossed the road to appear,” Councillor Stolz said.

“So I think it’s more than just the Mayor expressing a calender and a little mistake. Councillor Fraser has gone out of his way to pass the message on and that’s gone straight out the window but not to the court,” he said.

Councillor Stolz also questioned statements made by the Mayor in response to our story.
