An Upper Hunter Shire Council committee has deferred a decision on selling off land at Murrurundi for housing.
The Corporate Services Committee was asked to endorse a recommendation to call for expressions of interest for Rosedale Estate.
But Councillor George Fraser moved an amendment after being contacted by concerned locals.

The committee voted to conduct a site inspection and consult with locals before deciding the next move.
