An investigation spanning almost a year has led to a prominent Singleton couple being busted allegedly issuing dodgy rego checks.
The 56-year-old man and 34-year-old woman have been arrested and charged with a total of 216 offences related to a local mechanical business.
Police allege the pair are responsible for issuing dodgy vehicle inspection reports without the mandatory checks taking place and in the absence of an authorised examiner.
Their arrests follow a joint investigation between the NSW Police Highway Patrol Command and Transport for New South Wales.
They’ve each been ordered to front Singleton Local Court late next month.
