The Rural Fire Service says a southerly change overnight has reduced fire activity on the Barton Street Scone Fire.
In an update released at 735 this morning, the RFS states the fire is still burning to the east of Scone, north of Gundy Road in the area of Segenhoe.
Firefighters will continue working to strengthen containment lines throughout today.

The RFS says there is also the chance of some showers in the area tonight.
The alert level for this fire is currently at ADVICE.
