A teenage pedestrian has been struck by a truck on the New England Highway.
At around 7 on Friday night, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on a primary mission to a pedestrian accident at Camberwell, west of Singleton.
A male in his late teens sustained leg injuries in the accident involving a truck on the New England Highway.
The patient was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was transported by road ambulance to Singleton Hospital to rendezvous with the helicopter.
The Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team took over treatment and he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Traffic was banked up on the highway well into Friday night.
