Minecraft has just announced a collaboration with British fashion house Burberry for some major content and real-world exclusives.
The new free DLC ‘Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond’ allows players to assume the role of a modern explorer that aims to restore four element-inspired realms to harmony.
Explorers can dress the part with the 15 Burberry skins inspired by fashion, fantasy, and adventure. Designed in collaboration with Minecraft partner creators, Blockception, the DLC is filled with creative references to the Burberry brand.
The Minecraft X Burberry Capsule Collection
Bridging the digital and physical worlds, Burberry and Minecraft encourage communities to showcase their self-expression not just in-game, but also with the capsule collection.
Launching exclusively online at Burberry.com and in selected stores, the capsule offers items for both men and women – including unmistakable Burberry icons, from the Waterloo Trench Coat and Car Coats to logo-print sweatshirts, hoodies, hats and scarves.
These pieces are adorned with virtual landscape scenes, graphics of the Minecraft creature Creeper, and pixelated iterations of the Thomas Burberry Monogram accented by floral embroidery as an ode to the outdoors.
There’s even an impressive bucket hat, and who doesn’t love an impressive bucket hat, even an unimpressive one is good.
Explore Virtual Worlds and Make a Positive Impact to the Real One
As part of this collaboration, Burberry and Minecraft are donating $100,000 to Conservation International’s forest protection and restoration programs.
The funds will help protect 500,000 trees and plant 25,000 trees, and also help conserve critical wildlife habitats in places that Conservation International supports.
Just as you work to restore natural realms in Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond, these giants of gaming and fashion are funding forest restoration in real life.
